Kenyan football fans have been left in awe after Harambee Stars striker Masoud Juma joined Algerian top division side Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie on a three-year deal.
According to the club's social media page, Masoud has signed a contract with the Algerian side, marking the end of his period without a club.
Before joining Kabylie, Masoud had been without a club since parting ways with Libyan side in May, a side he joined early this year but failed to make a single appearance.
However, neighbours Algeria seem to have afforded the player a new lease of life, and he is now set to play in the Caf Champions League this season.
"Kenyan Masoud Juma has signed a contract with Jeunesse de Kabylie. Welcome Masoud," Kabylie announced in its social media page.
Before joining Kabylie, Masoud had a long and winding journey in the football world. He started his career at lower division side Shabana FC before moving to Mombasa-based outfit Bandari in 2014.
Later in June 2016, he moved to Awendo-based Kenyan Premier League side Sony Sugar, where he lasted for just six months.
He was later handed a lifeline by Kariobangi Sharks in January 2017, where he rediscovered his spark, scoring 17 league goals that season.
His good form earned him a move to South African side Cape Town City FC, where he was released after just eight months.
He then sealed a switch to Dubai-based Dibba Al Furairah, where he played until December 2018.
Meanwhile, his new home Kabylie finished second in the Algerian league in the 2018/19 season and are set to play in the Caf Champions League this season.
