On a chaotic and rain-soaked day at the German Grand Prix, Red Bull's Max Verstappen proved himself to be a force to be reckoned with, securing a stunning victory on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

Verstappen's impressive win, which came ahead of Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari and Daniil Kvyat of Toro Rosso, was met with praise from his team chief, Christian Horner, who described the 21-year-old Dutchman as 'in a class of his own'.

'Unbelievable,' Horner said. 'To win a race like that, when conditions are like this - it's a little bit of a lottery anyway, but Max kept his head and he was brilliant out there.'

Horner attributed Verstappen's success to his ability to excel in chaotic conditions, saying, 'Those kind of races, he really excels at and he was in total control when he got to the front.'

Red Bull's strategy of keeping the right tyre at the right time also played a crucial role in Verstappen's victory, with Horner noting, 'You've just got to try and be on the right tyre at the right time.'

Verstappen's impressive performance extended his run of consistency, with his 20th top-five finish in consecutive races.
