On a tense and tight final day at the Kinoru Stadium in Meru, Stanbic Mwamba emerged victorious, defeating Menengai Oilers 27-7 in the Kabeberi Sevens title match on July 28, 2019.

The hosts took an early lead, with Stephen Sikuta, Tony Omondi, and Kenya Sevens international Billy Odhiambo combining for a 15-0 halftime advantage.

Collins Injera and Odhiambo sealed the win for Mwamba in the second half, as the team looked to build momentum ahead of the next leg of the National Sevens Circuit in Kisumu.

Coach Kevin Wambua praised his team's improvement, saying, 'Big up to the lads for improving from our last week's performance in Kakamega. We played well since day one and I believe we can only get stronger as the circuit continues.'

With their sights set on defending the Dala Sevens title, Wambua expressed confidence in his team's ability to perform well in the upcoming matches.
