On July 28, 2019, a shocking video circulated online, capturing a man hacking a suspected chicken thief with a machete in Shinyalu, Kakamega County.
The suspect, Francis Muse Liseche alias Moi/President, was later apprehended by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday.
According to reports, the suspect had allegedly attacked the victim in public, cutting him with a panga, resulting in excessive bleeding that led to the victim's death.
Three other suspects, including the owner of the chicken, Evans Lichoti Ashihundu (34), Agapitus Ingosi Ang'uswa (43), and Reuben Smith Shitambasi (48), were also arrested in connection with the incident.
The four suspects are expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.
