Kenya's Harambee Stars earned a crucial 0-0 draw against Tanzania's Taifa Stars in the first leg of their African Championship (CHAN) qualifier on July 28, 2019, at the National Stadium in Dar Es Salaam.
The match was a repeat of their Group C encounter in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cairo, Egypt, just weeks prior.
Despite Tanzania's home advantage and a strong start, Harambee Stars' Sebastien Migne managed to keep his team at bay throughout the match.
With a relatively strong side, Migne started John Oyemba in goal and Duke Abuya led the attack.
The draw sets the stage for the second leg, scheduled for August 4, 2019.
Both teams will be looking to make amends and secure their spot in the CHAN tournament.
