On a slippery and unpredictable Hockenheim circuit, intermittent rain caused chaos during the German Grand Prix on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen took advantage of the conditions to claim the win, while Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton struggled to maintain his position, ultimately finishing 11th after sliding off twice.

Hamilton's teammate, Valtteri Bottas, crashed out of the race in the closing stages, en route to second place.

Sebastian Vettel, who started from the back of the grid, managed to weave his way to a remarkable second place, capitalizing on the misfortunes of the Mercedes drivers.
