On Saturday evening, the body of Anne Awuor was found in her rental house in Migori County, sparking a police investigation into her sudden death.
According to Oruba sub-location Assistant Chief Charles Ouma, Ms. Awuor had eaten at a neighbour's house earlier that day, and her body was discovered hours later.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Mr. Ouma stated that the cause of death remains unknown, but police suspect that Ms. Awuor may have succumbed to stomach complications.
Ms. Awuor had previously sought the help of a herbalist, claiming she was bewitched, but the exact circumstances surrounding her death are still unclear.
The body of the deceased has been moved to Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary pending police investigations and autopsy.
