July 28, 2019, was a tumultuous day for gospel singer Bahati and his heavily pregnant wife Diana Marua. Cheating allegations had been swirling around the couple, threatening to tear them apart.
It all started when Emmah, Bahati's former personal assistant, spilled the beans to Diana about her husband's alleged infidelity. Emmah claimed that Bahati would often flirt with women at events, and there was one particular woman who would always be present.
'WE'VE BEEN GOING FOR EVENTS AND HE FLIRTS WITH WOMEN. THERE'S THIS PARTICULAR CHIC WHO NEVER MISSES ANY OF HIS EVENTS. I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE USUALLY KNOWS WHERE WE ARE BUT I ALWAYS SEE HER. EVEN THOUGH I'M TELLING YOU, I AM AFRAID OF LOSING MY JOB,' Emmah said.
Diana was devastated by the news and responded to Emmah, saying, 'THIS IS THE LAST THING I EXPECTED TO HEAR.'
Things took a turn for the worse when Diana discovered a pair of new high heels in the car, which she suspected were bought for Bahati's mistress. 'IMAGINE I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE. I'VE FOUND OUT THAT HE [BAHATI] HAS BOUGHT THAT LADY SHOES,' she told her sister on the phone while crying.
Bahati later fired Emmah, claiming she was incompetent, but Diana was not pleased with the decision.
'IT IS MY COMPANY. I AM MANAGING IT HOW I FEEL. I FIRED HER BECAUSE SHE IS BECOMING INCOMPETENT,' Bahati roared.
However, it was later revealed that Emmah's departure was scripted, and she was actually promoted to producer and director for Bahati's reality show. Emmah and Bahati are close friends, and she even penned a sweet message to him on his birthday in December last year.
