On a visit to Meru County, leaders from the 'Wanjiku' caucus revealed their support for the historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking at the burial of Dr Morris Rukunga, uncle to Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, at Muujwa Catholic Church in Imenti Central, the leaders emphasized their focus on helping the poor.
According to EALA MP Simon Mbugua, Team Wanjiku will prioritize empowering the common man through the handshake.
They criticized leaders who are fixated on 2022 politics and opposing the handshake, urging them to put the interests of the people first.
