Techstars and Abu Dhabi's Hub71 Launch Accelerator for Global Startups

On July 27, 2019, Techstars, a worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed, partnered with Hub71, an Abu Dhabi-based global technology hub led by Mubadala Investment Company, to launch the Techstars Hub71 Accelerator.

The accelerator, a 13-week mentorship-driven program, will provide hands-on mentorship and access to Techstars' worldwide network to help startups gain traction and accelerate their businesses for global success.

Located at Hub71 in Abu Dhabi, the accelerator will be led by Vijay Tirathrai, who has been managing director of Techstars Dubai Accelerator since 2017.

The program will accept 10 startups annually and is open to startups addressing technology innovations across various business verticals.

According to Ahmad Alwan, Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Hub71, "We are excited to partner with Techstars to launch this mentorship-driven accelerator and look forward to starting the first year of the Techstars Hub71 Accelerator here in Abu Dhabi."

Applications for the program are open until October 13, 2019, and the program will run from January 2020 to April 2020, culminating in a demo day in mid-April 2020.
