The Hirani Telcom Invitational Twenty20 Cricket tournament, formerly known as the Nairobi Invitational Twenty20 tournament, is reaching its climax as the quarter-finals get underway.

On Sunday, the semi-finalists will be known after the conclusion of the quarter-final matches, which will see Swamibapa take on Sikh Union Club at Sikh Union Club.

Swamibapa, who are front runners with 24 points, boast a solid side with a bunch of experienced players, including former Kenya national team captain Morris Ouma, Irfan Karim, Lameck Onyango, and left-arm spinner Jadavji Bhimji.

However, Sikh Union has lost the cream of its players, with most migrating to the Sir Ali Muslim Club, who are a serious contender for one of the semi-final slots.

As the tournament heats up, Kanbis will be playing two games on Sunday, hosting Stray Lions at Eastleigh High School in the morning and later facing Homeboys at Nairobi Gymkhana in the afternoon.

The tournament's co-ordinator, Thota Srinivas, confirmed that the semi-final matches will be played on Sunday, with the top side facing the fourth-placed team and the second-placed team squaring off against the third-placed side.
