A Nairobi court arraigned Abdikani Omar, a middle-aged man, for allegedly obtaining Ksh.8.1 million by false pretence.

According to the charges, Omar allegedly obtained Ksh.8.1 million from Yusuf Ibrahim Mohammed by falsely pretending that he was in a position to sell him a Mitsubishi motor vehicle, a fact he knew to be false.

He also faces a second count where he obtained Ksh.900,000 to sell a Mitsubishi lorry to Abi Abdile Adan, a fact he knew also to be false.

Appearing before Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot at Milimani law courts, Omar pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a Ksh.500,000 cash bail.
