Manchester United's transfer business is heating up as the club prepares to sign Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon. According to reports, Fernandes is set to fly to the UK for a medical, with the deal reportedly worth £63m.
Corriere Dello Sport claims that Manchester United have agreed a fee with Sporting Lisbon to land the free-scoring playmaker, who has impressed for the Portuguese club last season.
Fernandes has hinted at his desire to move to the Premier League, refusing to rule out his friendly draw with Liverpool in midweek being his last game for Sporting Lisbon.
"Will this be the last match for Sporting? I don't know, it's the coach who decides," Fernandes said.
Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon manager Marcel Keizer has hinted that Fernandes could leave before the end of the transfer window, saying "For me they can close the window. It would be enough for me."
The move is expected to go through if Paul Pogba departs, with Manchester United reportedly not affected by the transfer if they sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Reports from ESPN have claimed that Pogba is edging closer to a move to Real Madrid, with the Frenchman reportedly launching a fresh assault to land the World Cup winner.
