July 27, 2019 - Joyce Gituro, the Head of Radio at Mediamax, has confirmed her departure from the company, citing personal reasons.

Gituro made the announcement on social media, responding to a fan who had asked about reports of her departure.

“Yes, Jeff, I have left Milele for personal reasons,” she wrote.

Gituro's departure comes just a few months after she was poached from rival station Radio Citizen, where she was the Head of Radio.

She had joined Mediamax in August last year, bringing with her a team of top radio presenters to help the company grow its audience and advertising revenue.

Reports suggest that Gituro resigned over an alleged fallout with the acting Mediamax CEO Kenneth Ngaruiya.

This is not the first time Gituro has resigned from the media group, having done so just a few months after joining Radio Citizen but later staying on after management intervened.
