Nairobi Police Foil Stolen Goods Ring, Recover Ammunition and Electronics

On Friday evening, police from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit (SCPU) in Nairobi made a significant breakthrough in their efforts to combat theft and robbery. The officers arrested four individuals and recovered a substantial amount of stolen goods, including ammunition, laptops, mobile phones, and assorted computer accessories.

Two of the suspects, Joshua Murimi Ndegwa and Nelson Njoroge Wambui, were arrested in the city's Central Business District (CBD) along Luthuli Avenue. They operated a stall at Towba Exhibition, where the stolen items were found.

Separately, in Kasarani, two female suspects, Catherine Wangechi Njanja and Yvonne Adhiambo Odour, were arrested and found with suspected fake dollar bills of an unknown amount and several mobile phones.

Police have urged members of the public who have lost their items to report to the officer in charge, Serious Crime Unit based DCI Headquarters, Kiambu road Block B, to identify the recovered goods.

The four suspects will be arraigned in court on Monday.
