On July 27, 2019, former Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA) managing director David Kimosop was released on police bail in connection with the Sh63 billion Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal.
According to lawyer Katwa Gigen, Kimosop will be arraigned in court on Monday to face charges related to the scandal.
Kimosop was arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Saturday morning after disembarking from a flight from Tanzania.
He was whisked away to the DCI headquarters, where he spent the day at the Serious Crime Unit offices.
Other suspects in the case, including Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich, Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge, and Susan Koech, have already been charged and released on bond.
The Asset Recovery Agency (ARA) has been working to trace and recover assets belonging to the 22 individuals and companies linked to the scandal.
