Published on July 27, 2019, Premier League stars are being warned not to copy Sead Kolasinac's brave act after he fought off knife-wielding attackers.

The Bosnia international defender, who plays for Arsenal, was targeted by two masked men wielding knives while he was driving with teammate Mesut Ozil.

Fortunately, both Kolasinac and Ozil are understood to be fine and were due to train with their team-mates on Friday.

However, the incident has sparked concerns among the Premier League community, with the PFA urging players to prioritize their safety.

Deputy chief executive Bobby Barnes said, “No possessions are worth risking your life for. These things can be replaced. Better to put your safety first.”

Arsenal are reviewing their security for their playing staff as a matter of urgency following the incident.

It is the latest in a series of incidents targeting Premier League players, with Bournemouth's Jordan Ibe being among those targeted three years ago.
