On July 26, 2019, Kenyan city legislator Ken Okoth passed away at a Nairobi hospital after a long battle with colon cancer.
Okoth, 41, had been admitted to The Nairobi Hospital on Thursday, where he was placed on life support machines after his condition deteriorated, according to his brother Imran Okoth.
Earlier this year, Okoth revealed that he had been diagnosed with advanced colorectal cancer and had traveled to Europe for treatment, where he received treatment for five months.
For over a year before his diagnosis, Okoth experienced symptoms of ulcers and bacterial infections, for which he was treated, and was even given medication to manage stress.
Unfortunately, by the time his doctors ordered advanced scans, the disease had already progressed to stage four.
