On the eve of its 60th anniversary, Starehe Boys Centre announced a Ksh.600 million fund drive to support education for bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Established in July 1959, the institution will commemorate its milestone on Saturday, July 27, 2019, which also marks the Founder’s Day.
According to a statement from the institution, the school Board of Management will announce the Ksh.600 million funds drive to help needy children access education at Starehe Boys.
The event is expected to attract various guests, including former President Mwai Kibaki, Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha, Industrialist Manu Chandaria, and Denmark Ambassador to Kenya Mette Knudsen.
Starehe Boys Centre is set to celebrate 60 years since its establishment in July 1959.
