On Thursday morning, a disturbing incident unfolded near the Nairobi Montessori Preparatory School in Karen, Nairobi. A traffic police officer, Joshua Omukata, was caught on camera fighting with a driver of a Nissan March.
According to reports, the driver, David Kariuki, had allegedly caused an accident and fled the scene. Omukata's colleagues had radioed him, asking him to be on the lookout for Kariuki.
After a brief struggle, well-wishers intervened, saving the officer from further harm. The incident was captured on camera and has since gone viral on social media.
Following an investigation, Kariuki was arrested in Gikambura, Kikuyu, Kiambu County. The arrest was made on an unspecified date, but it is believed to have occurred shortly after the incident.
