On July 26, 2019, the Kenyan national men's basketball team, Morans, secured their spot in the AfroCan tournament finals after a convincing 96-66 win over Morocco in the semi-finals.
The Morans' victory was led by Eric Mutoro, who scored a game-high 32 points, earning him the title of man of the match. Tylor Ongwae, based in Denmark, added 20 points to the team's total, while Tom Wamukota and Griffin Ligare contributed eight points each.
The team's performance was impressive, with a 27-11 lead in the first quarter and a 50-26 lead at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, the Morans were ahead 77-46, securing their place in the finals.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Republic of Congo had beaten Angola 84-78 in the other semi-final match, setting up a final showdown with Kenya on Saturday.
