On a typical week, Kenya's 90% Christian population engages in questionable behavior, but on Sundays, they don a holier-than-thou attitude, as observed by lawyer Donald Kipkorir.
Published on July 26, 2019, Kipkorir's tweet sparked a heated debate among Kenyans, with many agreeing with his sentiments and others offering humorous counterpoints.
"Kenya is 90% Christian … From Monday to Saturday, we abuse, denigrate, deligitimize, steal, kill ….. Then on Sunday, we go to Church, sing Hallelujah, give Testimonies of God’s Grace, pay tithes … Kenyans must be thinking God is a Kenyan who is flattered & corrupted."
While some users praised Kipkorir's candidness, others questioned his motives and pointed out that Kenya's problems are not unique to Christianity.
