Published on July 26, 2019, the Kenya National Basketball team, the Morans, has booked a place in the final of the inaugural International Basketball Federation (FIBA) AfroCan tournament in Mali.
On their way to the final, the Morans defeated Morocco 96-66 in the semi-finals, showcasing their dominance over their opponents.
The team's semi-final victory came after a dramatic overtime win against Tunisia, which propelled them to the last four of the competition.
On Sunday, the Morans will face off against the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the final at Palais des Sports Salamatou Maiga in Bamako, Mali.
The Democratic Republic of the Congo secured their spot in the final by beating Angola 84-78 in their semi-final match.
Angola's Fidel Cabita scored 19 points, but the Democratic Republic of the Congo's Maxi Munanga Shamba stole the show with 20 points.
Tomorrow, classification matches will take place, with Tunisia and Algeria contesting seventh place, hosts Mali and Chad playing for fifth, and Morocco and Angola competing for third place.
