Published on July 26, 2019, the Instagram Rich List, compiled by Hopper HQ, an automated Instagram scheduler, reveals the top social media influencers who get paid to post promotional material on their Instagram pages.
Anerlisa Muigai, the heiress to Keroche Breweries, is the only Kenyan to make the list, ranking 129 out of 136 with a post rate of Sh 340,000. She has 825,230 followers on her Instagram account.
Top on the list is Kylie Jenner, who charges a whopping Sh126 million per post, while Egyptian footballer Mohammed Salah is the top African, paid Sh16.5 million per post.
Anerlisa has had a successful year, being recognized among 40 Under40 African Business Icons by Business Elites Africa magazine for launching her multi-million company, NERO, which processes drinking water targeted for the high end market. She also bagged the runners up position in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the Young Entrepreneurs Awards organized by Bizna in 2018.
