On Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta made a surprise statement at a function attended by DP William Ruto and ODM chief Raila Odinga, saying he has no idea who will be the country's next president. This comes after months of pressure from 'Jubilee B', a group of politicians supporting Ruto's 2022 bid.

Uhuru's remarks confirm Ruto's worst fears, as he had previously expected a smooth ride to State House. The President's statement, 'The person who will be elected would be elected. It's God who knows. Me I don't mind,' suggests that he will not be endorsing Ruto's presidency.

On Wednesday, Ruto's lieutenants, led by MP Oscar Sudi, had accused Uhuru of betrayal, claiming that he was unfit to lead. Sudi had even called on Uhuru to vacate his office, saying that he had proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he was unfit to lead.

State House believes that Ruto is using his attack dogs like Oscar Sudi and Kipchumba Murkomen to throw jabs at Uhuru, exposing him as a pretender. Uhuru's handlers say that Ruto is a friend by day and at night is plotting on how to attack Uhuru using his proxies.

DP Ruto's attack dogs have shown total disregard to the presidency and all the efforts of President Uhuru in getting rid of corruption. It therefore beats logic how Ruto expects an endorsement from Uhuru, yet he does not support his agenda.
