On July 25, 2019, Arsenal completed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old Spaniard has joined the Gunners as Aaron Ramsey's replacement, beating out bitter north London rivals Tottenham to his signature.

Gunners head of football Raul Sanllehi recently returned from a tour of America to finalize the transfer for Ceballos.

Unai Emery expressed his excitement about the new signing, stating, “We’re excited to see Dani join us. He is a talented player with big technical ability, creativity and precision.”

Ceballos shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m really proud to be able to wear this shirt. I’m joining a historic Premier League side and it’s a step forward in my career.”

He added, “I knew I had the confidence of the coach, which was very important for me from the start. I was aware of the responsibility that wearing this shirt entails and it was a tremendously proud moment when I decided to join Arsenal.”

With Ceballos on board, the Emirates club will now focus on securing left-back Kieran Tierney, who is valued at £25 million, and Wilfried Zaha, although the latter appears to be out of reach due to Crystal Palace's £80 million valuation.
