Media personality Betty Kyallo has been in a new relationship, but unlike her previous marriage to Dennis Okari, this one is a closely guarded secret.
According to a recent interview, Betty intends to keep her boyfriend out of the public eye, allowing her to enjoy their time together without the pressure of being in the spotlight.
"Tulisema 2019 tunawaficha. I want to enjoy time with him silently. It’s better and sweeter," Betty told Word Is in July 2019.
She also emphasized that she is not in a hurry to get married again, preferring to live in the moment and enjoy her relationship without the expectations that come with marriage.
"I’m not in a hurry to get married again. For now, mbele iko sawa," she said.
It's not the first time Betty has expressed a desire to take things slowly in her relationship. In a previous response to a fan, she joked that her parents must be praying for her to get married, to which she replied, "Aiii round 2 ni lazima mwendo wa tortoise."
Given her previous experience with a short-lived marriage to Dennis Okari, it's understandable that Betty is taking her time to get to know her new partner.
Her first marriage lasted just six months, during which time she struggled with cultural differences, her husband's cold family, and his decision to join a religious sect.
She also revealed that she was hesitant to marry Okari due to issues in their relationship, including a traditional wedding where he stood her up.
"He did not pick up my call. I tried calling him again after an hour and once again it went unanswered," she recalled.
