Celebrities Killed by Social Media Rumors ¶

Many celebrities have been mistakenly declared dead by social media rumors, only to later reveal they are alive and well. This phenomenon has become a common occurrence, with many individuals being killed by social media.
One such celebrity is Daniel Ndambuki, alias Churchill, who was declared dead by a blog after a fake news story claimed he had been involved in an accident along the Mahi Mahiu road. However, Churchill responded to the blog, saying, 'For the hateful bloggers, you know your position…'
Churchill is not the only celebrity to have been killed by social media rumors. Other notable individuals include Mr. Nice, O.J, Willy M. Tuva, YY, Conjestina Achieng, Naliaka, and Owago Onyiro.
Mr. Nice, whose real name is Lucas Mkenda, was declared dead by a popular publication after a story went viral. However, Mkenda responded to the publication, warning them against spreading false information.
Similarly, O.J, a comedian from the school drama Tahidi, was declared dead by a local unreliable blog. However, O.J responded to the rumors, saying he was doing well and was used to being killed on social media.
Willy M. Tuva, the host of Mambo Mseto, was also declared dead by a blog after a story claimed he had died in a car accident in Naivasha-Karai. However, Tuva came out to rubbish the rumors.
YY, a comedian from the Churchill show, was declared dead by fans after they mistakenly wrote condolences to his family. However, YY responded to the rumors, saying it was not him who had passed away.
Conjestina Achieng, a former World boxing champion, was declared dead by news outlets after a story went viral. However, Achieng must have received the news by shock, given her ailing health.
Naliaka, a character from the TV show Papa Shirandula, was declared dead by a blog after a story claimed she had died. However, the blog put Nyamwalo's photo as the one that had died, highlighting the struggle to get readers.
Owago Onyiro, a comedian, was declared dead by rumors, but later shocked many after appearing at the Churchill show recording.
