July 25, 2019 - Vera Sidika, the Kenyan businesswoman and socialite, has expanded her beauty empire by launching her own line of mink lashes.
The Vera Sidika Mink Lash line features handcrafted lashes packaged in gold and black protective cases, priced at Sh1500 each. According to sources, the lashes can be reused up to 20 times.
"Hey guys! I am so excited because I am launching my lash line. Mink lashes baby! Oooh! How amazing is that?" Vera Sidika exclaimed on social media.
Miss Sidika joins a growing list of celebrities venturing into the beauty industry. Just last week, Terryanne Chebet, the General Manager of Metropolitan TV, launched Keyara Cosmetics, a subsidiary of Keyara Organics.
Other notable entrepreneurs in the beauty space include Lily Asigo, Jua Cali's wife, who launched Asigo Beauty in 2018, and Amber Ray, who recently introduced her line of lipsticks, Zumaridi by Amber.
Amidst the growing competition, Huddah Cosmetics, founded by Huddah Monroe, has made a name for itself, being selected as the first social commerce merchant on Mula Shops.
