David Rudisha, the 30-year-old two-time world champion and current 800m world record holder, has been away from the athletics scene for several months, citing injuries as the reason.

However, a recent Facebook post by his wife Lizzy Naanyu suggests that there may be more to his absence than just injuries.

Naanyu accused Rudisha of frustrating her and their children, writing on Facebook, “David Lekuta Rudisha really stop frustrating me with my kids. To my family, my heart is heavy I can’t hold anymore. I love u all.”

When contacted for comment, Rudisha's agent Mitchel Boeting said he was unaware of Naanyu's post and declined to comment on the couple's family matters.

Boeting did, however, provide an update on Rudisha's athletic plans, stating, “David might not compete this season. The injury healed and reoccurred. He will be late for the season and I think he will be back next season. We expect that all will be well for him.”

Naanyu's post has sparked concerns about the state of Rudisha's marriage, with many wondering what the future holds for the couple.
