On Thursday, Crystal Palace announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew on a three-year deal from Swansea City, a Championship club.
The 27-year-old Ayew had spent the previous season on loan with Palace, making 20 league appearances and helping the team finish 12th with 49 points.
Palace manager Roy Hodgson praised Ayew's dedication and hard work, saying, "We are delighted to secure Jordan's services for another three seasons at Palace."
According to British media, the deal for Ayew was worth around 2.5 million pounds ($3.12 million) including add-ons, although Palace did not provide financial details.
Ayew's signing is the second major move for Palace this summer, following the arrival of goalkeeper Stephen Henderson.
The team will begin their new season against Everton at Selhurst Park on August 10.
