On July 25, 2019, President Uhuru Kenyatta officially launched the Sh20 billion ultra-modern Bidco Industrial Park in Ruiru, Kiambu County, a project he had presided over.
During the grand opening, Uhuru invited the five finalists of the MS President Reality show to the podium, where they seized the opportunity to rally support from the audience ahead of the show’s grand finale on July 31.
The contestants, who had earlier interviewed the President on various matters pertaining to his role as head of state, were introduced by Uhuru, who explained that he had asked them to accompany him to the launch to give them a practical touch of the duties of a president.
The MS President Reality show, which premiered on January 30, 2019, aims to empower women and girls to be leaders in peace building and prevent the spread of violent extremism and radicalization.
To vote for their preferred contestant, viewers can send an SMS with the name of the contestant followed by their code to 22840.
The five finalists are Waruguru wa Kiai (Kiai019), Betty Odera (Betty047), Irene Mayaka (Renee046), Nereah Amondi Oketch (Nereah043), and Umulkheir Mohammed (Umi007).
