On September 1, Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Fold will finally hit the market, months after its initial April launch was postponed due to issues with the device's screen.
The Galaxy Fold, priced at nearly $2,000 (£1,603), was initially set to be released in April but was delayed after early reviewers reported broken screens.
According to Samsung, the company has made significant improvements to the device, including extending a protective layer to prevent users from removing it and strengthening the hinge area with new protection caps.
One of the main reasons for the broken screens was that some reviewers mistakenly removed a film they thought was a protective layer that came with the phone when first bought.
The delay has been a source of embarrassment for Samsung, which has seen declining smartphone sales and faces growing competition from rivals, including China's Huawei.
Huawei, which became the second-largest smartphone seller in the world last year, plans to launch its own folding smartphone in September, just days after Samsung's Galaxy Fold.
Earlier this year, Chinese technology firm Xiaomi unveiled a prototype of a folding smartphone that transforms into a tablet.
