On July 25, 2019, Safaricom and KCB launched a new hire-purchase plan called Beba Sasa, Lipa Pole Pole, which translates to 'Carry now, pay slowly'. This plan enables customers to buy phones, tablets, or other devices from Safaricom Shops with 0% interest through a KCB Credit Card.

The plan allows customers to choose from a list of specified devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S10 and a Huawei Modem, and pay in monthly installments of 3, 4, 5, or 6 months. Safaricom will outline the monthly payment amount based on the device's price and the chosen payment period.

Key Features of Beba Sasa, Lipa Pole Pole

  • Customers can choose from a list of specified devices.
  • Payment options include 3, 4, 5, or 6 monthly installments.
  • There is 0% interest on the hire-purchase plan.
  • Customers must have a valid KCB Credit Card.

How Beba Sasa, Lipa Pole Pole Works

  • Customers browse through Safaricom's list of devices and choose the one they want.
  • They download and fill out the application form, providing their KCB Credit Card number, the device they want to buy, and the number of monthly installments they choose.
  • They email the completed form to [email protected].
  • They wait for KCB to review the application form, which should take no more than 24 hours.
  • If approved, they visit the specified Safaricom Shop with their ID and KCB Credit Card to collect their device.

It's worth noting that phones bought through Safaricom are single-SIM devices, and most devices in Safaricom Shops are higher priced than buying from online stores or other offline retailers.
