On July 25, 2019, Daystar University announced the appointment of new senior administrators. The appointments followed a rigorous process that began on April 9, 2019, when the positions were first advertised.
Prof Faith Nguru, a communication professor and immediate former acting Vice-Chancellor of Riara University, has been appointed as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Research and Students Affairs. Prof Nguru previously served as a faculty head at Daystar University.
Prof Muturi Wachira, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Finance and Administration) at St Paul’s University, has been appointed as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Finance, Administration and Planning. Prof Wachira also previously served as a faculty head at Daystar University.
Prof Bernard Boyo will serve as Director of Resource Mobilisation, Projects and Partnerships, while Prof Michael Bowen has been appointed as Principal, Daystar Nairobi Campus. Both Prof Boyo and Prof Bowen have been serving in acting capacities at the university.
The appointments take effect from August 1, 2019.
