Woman Alleges Policewoman Snatched Her Husband, Storms Central Police Station with Children

A woman identified as Sumaya Nakanwagi, 39, arrived at Central Police Station in Kampala with her four children, including twins, and alleged that a policewoman had taken her husband away.

Incident Details

According to a police officer at the station, Reuben Ndaye, Nakanwagi explained that she had come to report the policewoman, who was later identified as Police Chief Kale Kaiyura, for snatching her husband.

Ndaye stated that the police were aware of the relationship between the policewoman and Nakanwagi's husband but were not aware that he had abandoned his family.

Upon seeing Nakanwagi and her children, the policewoman in question reportedly fled the scene.

Response and Current Situation

Police officers attempted to calm Nakanwagi down, but she remained adamant, demanding to meet with the policewoman who had taken her husband.

At the time of the report, Nakanwagi had vowed not to leave the police station until her husband was returned to her.
