Angela Chibalonza, a renowned gospel musician, died in a road accident on September 22, 2007. The accident occurred along the Naivasha-Nairobi highway while she was returning to Nairobi from a performance at Egerton University in Njoro.
Chibalonza was known for her powerful music and ministry. Her death happened just a week before the scheduled release of her latest album, Nimekutana na Yesu, which was set to take place on September 29, 2007, in Nairobi.
At the time of her death, Chibalonza left behind a husband, Elisha Muliri, and their 9-month-old baby girl. Years later, singer Kambua spent time with Chibalonza's daughter, who is now grown up.
