A passenger's harrowing experience on a Kenyan bus serves as a warning to others. The individual recounts sitting between a woman and a man, with the latter holding a plastic bottle and allegedly releasing a chemical-laced substance into the air. The passenger began to feel drowsy, attributing it to lack of sleep and fatigue, but soon realized they had been drugged.

The Incident Unfolds

The passenger reported hearing strange sounds and seeing patterns when trying to open their eyes, at which point they understood what had happened. A woman seated nearby appeared concerned, saying, 'Switi ama tupitie hosi,' but her voice seemed distant due to the passenger's impaired hearing. As the man next to them attempted to rummage through their pocket, the passenger mustered the strength to shout, 'Hawa wananiibia,' despite struggling to speak clearly.

A scuffle ensued, during which the passenger's head was hit. However, they managed to stay conscious until someone called their name, prompting them to grab onto the person's shirt for help. Fortunately, the person who came to their aid knew them and ensured they received medical attention and returned home safely.

A Warning to Others

The passenger's ordeal highlights the importance of vigilance when using public transportation. As they noted, not everyone may be as fortunate to have someone intervene on their behalf.

The recovered account cited reporting by Nairobi Wire.
