A long-standing rivalry between musicians Willy Paul and Bahati has escalated after Bahati referred to Willy Paul as his favorite sister during a live interview.
Both artists have consistently denied any competition between them, despite their ongoing rivalry which appears to drive them to produce quality music.

In 2016, there were reports that Willy Paul was attempting to sabotage Bahati's career. Additionally, Bahati recently made disparaging comments about Willy Paul, which although said in jest, did not go unnoticed.
