Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto welcomed several leaders who defected from the Jubilee Party to Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) during a political rally in Narok on Monday, February 27.
Among the defectors were Narok West MP Patrick Ntutu, who will now vie for the parliamentary seat under the CCM ticket, and Lydia Ntimama, a relative of the late Cabinet Minister William ole Ntimama, who will contest for the Woman Representative position.
Baringo Senator Gideon Moi and other leaders, including West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo, Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ng'eno, and Kuresoi MP Zakayo Cheruiyot, attended the rally.

The defections come as the Jubilee Party faces a wave of departures from its strongholds in the Rift Valley and Central Kenya, with many leaders opting to join smaller parties allied to Jubilee or the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA).
