The arrival of US President Barack Obama in Kenya aroused significant excitement among the population, including two of the country's prominent female journalists, Grace Msalame and Betty Kyallo.

They shared their enthusiasm on social media after witnessing the arrival and departure of the US leader and his accompanying equipment.

The journalists were particularly impressed by the C-17 Globemaster III, a large military transport aircraft used to transport the President's vehicles and planes.

Grace Msalame expressed her excitement, saying:

"I saw it this morning at the airport! I should have seen me staring! Almost run closer like a mad-woman! My fear of being shot is the only thing that stopped me"

Response to the Aircraft

The sight of the aircraft seemed to have left a lasting impression on the two journalists, with Msalame's reaction being particularly notable.
