Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama stated that CORD Leader Raila Odinga is the coalition’s sole presidential candidate for 2017.
Senaor Muthama, who advocates for the dissolution of CORD parties to form a stronger coalition in 2017, also advised Ugenya MP David Ochieng to withdraw the motion seeking to hold elections in December instead of August.
During the burial of the late Archbishop Charles Owalo, father of former Raila Odinga campaign manager Eliud Owalo, in Nyanza, Senator Muthama encouraged Nyanza residents to register as voters in large numbers ahead of the 2017 elections.
