Ann Muhonja and Wilson Mutura, the couple who gained attention for their Kes 100 wedding, have been spotted back in their impoverished neighborhood just days after their second wedding, which cost Kes 3.5 million.
A previous report by Ghafla!Kenya noted that the couple had wed in a colorful Kes 3.5 million lavish wedding.
Radio personality Caroline Mutoko had expressed opposition to the idea of spending Kes 3.5 million on a wedding for the couple, stating on Twitter, "So this couple wedded for 100/- We’ve decided NO! NO! we’ll throw you a 3.5m wedding & then let you walk back into your poverty. Why? Why?"
According to the original account, Ann Muhonja was seen in the Mwiki neighborhood wearing oversized slippers and counting coins in her hand.
Prior to their lavish wedding, Diamond Properties Merchants had given the couple a plot and a greenhouse worth Kes 1 million in Isinya, Kajiado County.
