A fire broke out at JKUAT Hall Six, leaving students outraged over the university's lack of preparedness. According to reports from the main campus, a student attempting to boil water to kill bedbugs on the fourth floor may have inadvertently started the fire. A neighbor to the room where the fire began stated that the student had been complaining about bedbugs all weekend and decided to take matters into their own hands.
The student was preparing for a date the following day when the incident occurred. The school and police have launched an investigation into the matter, suspecting that some students may have been cooking illegally using coils. The administration has yet to release a full report.
