A member of parliament from Taita Taveta County is alleged to have had a romantic encounter with Rachael Shebesh, according to reports from hotel workers. The incident supposedly occurred after a harambee event at Bura, where the two legislators had separately booked hotel rooms.
Witnesses claim that the MP from Taita Taveta County sneaked into Shebesh's room at night. Earlier that day, both leaders had attended a Taita Taveta County government function at Mwatate, where local leaders were discussing the location of the county headquarters.
Their brief appearance at the event, lasting less than 5 minutes, reportedly upset local residents, who felt neglected by their MP's haste to attend another private harambee function. It is also alleged that Shebesh wore a tight mini skirt during the official event, which raised eyebrows among the attendees. A leader who attended the Mwatate event commented, "alikuja na nguo fupi sana kwa hiyo mkutano na hata tukashangaa sana."
Shebesh was reportedly the official guest of Hon. Mwadime during that weekend, and they attended two events in Taita Taveta County together. The Daily Post claims to have pictures of Shebesh wearing a hot mini skirt at these events, which they allege was intended to attract Mwadime's attention rather than the villagers.
This is not the first time Shebesh has been involved in a sex scandal. Previously, she was linked to several high-profile individuals, including Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko, Governor Kidero, and former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo. Her husband, Frank Shebesh, appears to be unaware of these allegations, although sources suggest that their marriage is troubled.
In October last year, Luhya elders summoned Shebesh's husband, allegedly due to his failure to manage his marriage. The elders were reportedly furious that Mr. Shebesh had allowed his wife to engage in secret sex affairs with top politicians and young men.
