Imonda Mushiba, who gained recognition for remarrying at the age of 98, has passed away at 102.

In 2013, Mushiba made headlines when he remarried his wife, whom he had divorced 39 years earlier. After being single for nearly four decades, he proposed to his former wife again at the age of 98, and she accepted.

Mushiba, from Mongu, Zambia, died at Lewanika General Hospital. His wedding ceremony to his reunited wife drew significant attention nationwide.

An earlier report stated that Mushiba was single for the entire period following his initial divorce before deciding to reunite with his former spouse.
