The situation arose after EACC CEO Halakhe Waqo lifted the suspension of his deputy, Michael Mubea, just hours following Chairman Mumo Matemu's decision to send him on forced leave. Two EACC commissioners, Jane Onsongo and Irene Keino, have written to the President requesting the removal of their chairperson, Mumo Matemu, citing incompetence and lack of vision as reasons for their request.
