A court case is underway involving a tout accused of recording a video of a woman being assaulted inside a matatu on the Githurai 44 route. The tout, Mr Edward Kamau, has been charged with robbery with violence.
According to the statement, Mr Kamau denied the charges. If convicted, he could face the death sentence.
The case has been consolidated with an earlier one involving two men who were charged with the same offense last year.
The court proceedings are set to continue on March 17.
