Rachael Gardiner, a 22-year-old woman from East Kilbride, had a disturbing experience when she took a selfie using Snapchat for the first time.
Gardiner intended to take a photo to show her boyfriend how she looked, but what appeared in the image shocked her. Instead of her expected appearance, a figure that resembled a demon was visible in the picture.
According to Gardiner, "I had seen people use filters, so I wanted to try. I went to Snapchat and took a selfie, then that thing showed up."
She was horrified by the image and decided to show it to her boyfriend for his reaction. The boyfriend also freaked out upon seeing the photo.
Gardiner mentioned that she had expected the photo to display purple flowers around her head, but instead, an unsettling image appeared on her neck.
"I couldn’t believe how creepy that thing looked. I showed it to everyone at work and even posted it on Facebook. Everyone thought I was a demon," says Gardiner.
The incident has left Gardiner hesitant about using Snapchat again.
