Emmanuel Jambo, the official photographer of President Uhuru, has spoken about his sense of style and named Annabel Onyango as the most fashionable woman in Kenya.
Jambo, who has photographed top celebrities including the Kenyan Rugby team, Amani, Wyre, M.O.G, and Octopizzo, told Couture Africa Magazine that his clothes are inspired by magazines, movies, music videos, and the street.
"I shop in New York every 4 months."
In an interview with True African Original in 2012, Jambo revealed that he did not initially plan to become a photographer. He had studied Computer Information Systems at Harold Washington University in Chicago on a basketball scholarship.
"Actually I went to college on a basketball scholarship with a dream of going professional. I was studying Computer Information systems at Harold Washington University in Chicago. In my senior year of college I would find myself at art galleries more and more, I was just drawn to them,"
Jambo met President Uhuru through his niece, Nana, when the President was the Minister for Finance. He later became the President's official photographer when he decided to run for president.
"I met him first time through Nana- his niece. Back then, he was the Minister for Finance. Then we didn’t speak for a while. When he decided to run for president, he looked for me,"
When asked about the most fashionable woman in Nairobi, Jambo named Annabel Onyango, a renowned Kenyan fashion stylist, saying, "Annabel Onyango because she is elegant and her fashion sense is bold."
